Simplified reading exercises for young students. Beginning stories average 75 words per reading, while the latter move into a range of 100 words. Grammatical structures are also strictly limited. The stories progress from simple present and present continuous to simple past and simple future. Accompanying each reading is a list of questions and an additional exercise or puzzle. New to the 2nd edition are nine world and regional maps and an extensive list of commonly used verbs.
