Following the publication of the 3rd edition of IPI bestseller Starter TOEIC earlier this year, a further title from the Compass TOEIC Series, TOEIC Analyst, has also been released in a new edition just in time for the introduction of the new TOEIC format. The book, which may be purchased through suppliers of ELT materials, is designed to help students master TOEIC test-taking skills by giving them practice with both question formats and strategies for analyzing the answer choices commonly found on the test. Asia-Pacific Press, publisher of IPI bestselling title Communicating in Business English and other popular titles including The English You Need for Business, The English You Need for the Office and Everyday English for Young People, has merged with Compass Publishing. All titles previously published by Asia-Pacific will now be published under the Compass logo. As a result, ISBNs will change as each title is reprinted. During the transition period, it is possible that orders may contain mixed versions - some showing the former logo and ISBN; some showing the new ones. However, please be assured that the contents have not changed.

The Extensive Reading Foundation (ERF) has announced nominations for the 2006 Language Learner Literature Awards. Included in this year's list of candidates is The Merchant of Venice from Black Cat Publishing's Reading and Training series of graded readers for young adults and adult. Through these awards, established in 2004, the ERF recognizes the best new works of language learner literature in English. Kinney Brothers Publishing, an American-based publisher (also with offices in Japan) currently offers a selection of photocopiable resources suitable for young learners from children to teenagers.
