Independent Publishers International (hereinafter referred to as "IPI") will take utmost care in the handling and protection of personal information, in accordance with laws concerning personal information and the guidelines set by the relevant government ministries, as well as our own corporate policy regarding personal information. Our policy regarding personal information is explained below.
1. Personal information kept by IPI
After you place a catalogue request or register for one of our seminars or events, IPI keeps personal information such as your name, school/company name, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, the type of environment in which you teach English, etc.
2. How personal information is used
IPI makes use of personal information in the distribution of catalogues and the dissemination of information about events and new products. Please contact us if you would NOT like to receive catalogues or information about events or new products.
In addition, some personal information is shared with third parties during distribution. These third parties will not use this information for any other than the intended use (We have arranged special contracts for all companies with which we share personal information).
3. Management of personal information
IPI will do its utmost to manage personal information suitably and safely for strictly limited purposes, to keep information accurate and updated, and to prevent loss, disclosure or falsification of personal information through a system of personal information management.
4. Display, correction and deletion of personal information
When IPI receives a request for the display, correction or deletion of personal information, we will comply, based upon the consent of the individual in question, within the limits of the law.
